Why convert?
Stock wheel bolts or short press-fit studs are perfectly fine for street driving. 
However, if you want to swap wheels on the track, reduce rotational mass, or use wider spacers, stud conversion is highly recommended.

Installation Note:
Be sure hub threads are free of contaminants. It's recommended to place a drop of medium thread locker on the end of the stud to be installed in the hub. Screw stud into the hub by hand. Then use a Allen socket and torque to 15 ft-lbs (20Nm) of torque. Make sure the shank/stop of the stud bottoms against the hub. Place wheel on the studs. Then torque the lug nuts in a star pattern to 74-88 ft-lbs (100-120 Nm).

Can I use this stud kit with wheel spacers, and will it work for both street and track use?

Yes — the 90mm length fully engages through spacers up to 20mm thick without bottoming out or protruding past the nut. Perfect for swapping between street and track wheels, staggered setups, or fender-filling spacers — much faster and more secure than factory press-fit bolts.

Which lug nuts should I use with this kit — conical seat or ball seat?

This kit includes tapered (conical seat) M12x1.5 21mm hex-head nuts — the correct type for factory and most aftermarket BMW wheels. How are these studs installed, and is there a risk of stripping them during torquing?

Apply a drop of medium threadlocker, hand-thread the stud into the hub, then torque to 20 Nm with an Allen socket. Mount the wheel and torque lug nuts to 100–120 Nm in a star pattern. Made from heat-treated 4135 CrMo steel, the hex socket holds up fine with a properly-fitted tool and controlled torque wrench — worn or wrong-size tools are the usual cause of a rounded hex.
